The Princess Margaret Foundation Walk

For more than 70 years, The Princess Margaret Foundation has been a strong burning flame in the fight against cancer. In 2025, I got the opportunity to lead creative across all 8 of their fundraising events. Using my art to bolster cancer research is extremely meaningful to me because when I was a kid, my mother went through and won her fight against cancer.

Beyond social posts, email designs and website graphics, The Princess Margaret Foundation's Walk event is one that I was able to also create swag and event signage for.

For the driving concept of the event, I wanted to showcase 3 important themes: 1- Hope and tenacity, 2- Braving and moving forward and 3- An ode to Toronto. Below is a snapshot of pieces that I designed for The Walk.
I represented tenacity and moving forward through a step and repeating typographic approach that mimicked footsteps. Among the step and repeat pattern, I added vector illustrations I made of a foot in movement and the Toronto skyline.
The reason why it was important to show love to Toronto in the design is not only because the event took place in the city but because the walk is a 21 KM journey through Toronto's most iconic neighbourhoods.
Seeing the participants wear my designs as well as seeing the city decked out with the signage I made was such a rewarding and heartfelt feeling. Above that, the event was an enormous success! The 2025 Princess Margaret Foundation Walk raised a whopping $3.6 million dollars towards cancer research.
